past fiscal year. Winners are
selected by Belk executives and honored at an event in March.
Associate Recognition Program
levels of recognition for outstanding performance:
• Consultants: for sales associates with annual personal sales of $500,000 or more,
within the top five percent of all Belk in their selling
areas or within the top five percent of sales in their stores.
• Pacesetters: recognizes both sales and
sales support associates:
• sales – top 20 percent in sales-per-hour
based on store size and selling area;
• sales support – top 10 percent in overall performance (includes
corporate and division offices,
distribution centers and other Belk
Award of Excellence
Recognizes associates for
outstanding individual community support and contributions.
Each year, the company
awards up to six associates with the Award of Excellence. Winners
are nominated by fellow associates and chosen by a selection committee.
